Ramon Cortès Casanovas (Terrassa, November 19, 1906 – May 18, 1977) was a Catalan Impressionist painter who carried the need to paint in his blood, finding a balance between his portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. Extraordinarily gifted in his practice, he possessed incredible skill and flair. He always painted from nature. Considered a chromatic painter, he was also a superb draftsman.

A true Impressionist, he offered his paintings as they were, as he felt them. His sole concern was painting, which for him was work, rest, joy, and suffering.
